Obituary of Andrew Bruce Mihailoff-Shelly

Mr. Andrew Bruce Mihailoff-Shelly, age 41, of Fuquay Varina, NC, died Saturday, May 29, 2010 in an accidental fall at Elk River, NC. He was born August 17, 1968 in Indianapolis, IN. Andrew grew up in Elkhart, IN and Ann Arbor, MI, and later moved to New York City where he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hunter College. He was employed as a Network Engineer with Cisco Systems in Research Triangle Park. Andrew will be remembered for his intense, passionate love for his wife, Diane, and daughter, Ella, and his total enjoyment of life and his amazing friendships. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his parents Nicolas Mihailoff-Shelly and Joan Marie Shelly, his wife of 10 years, Diane Giles Shelly; his daughter, Ella Louise Shelly; sisters, Larissa Cassell, Lydia and Emily Shelly; nieces Valerie Cassell, Amanda and Julia Snyder; nephew, Joshua Cassell; brother-in-laws Brian Cassell and Curt Snyder; sister-in-law, Carol Giles Snyder; and in-laws, Beverly and Les Giles. He was preceded in death by his dear brother, Peter Boyd Mihailoff-Shelly. A service to celebrate Andrew\'s wonderful life will be held at the Fuquay Varina United Methodist Church on Friday, June 4, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ella Louise Shelly College Fund, North State Bank, 835 Highway 70 W. Garner, NC 27529.
