Obituary of Martha C. Hartman

Martha Carol �Marty� Cecile Hartman, age 55, wife of Ricky Hartman and daughter of the late Bill and Elsie Cecile passed away on Sunday May 30, 2010. She was born on October 20, 1954 in Winston-Salem, N. C. She was part owner and worked in the family business at Radford Quarries of Boone, Inc. Mrs. Hartman was an advocate for animals of all kinds, especially dogs and cats. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and working in her yard. She was a devoted daughter while caring for both her parents and was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church in North Wilkesboro. Mrs. Hartman is survived by her husband, Ricky Hartman, four brothers; Bill Cecile, Jr. (Beverly), Larry C. �Duts� Cecile (Marcia), Danny J. �Snookie� Cecile (Margaret), Raymond S. �Pete� Cecile (Gail) a half brother; Jim Tatum, her grandmother; Mozelle Disher, her mother and father in law; Richard and Carolyn Hartman, two brothers in law; Steve Hartman and Mitchie Hartman (Diane), and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services for Martha Carol �Marty� Hartman will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Vernon Eller and Rev. Dennis Love. Graveside services and burial will be private at the family cemetery. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Pilgrim Baptist Church, 493 Pilgrim Baptist Church Road, Wilkesboro, North Carolina 28697 or to the Watauga Humane Society, 200 Casey Lane, Boone, NC 28607.
