Ruby Ellen May Henson, age 70, of Grovetown, Georgia, and a former resident of Boone entered into rest on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at her home. Ellen was a native of Gibson, GA and a daughter of the late Bunnie E. and Julia Wilcher May. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1SG Charles 'Chuck' W. Henson (USA retired.)
Ellen is survived by two sons, Michael S. Morris of Anderson, SC and Travis K. Henson of Mt. Juliet, TN; one daughter, Tonya Morris of Greenville, SC; one step-son, Bill Henson of Martinez, GA; one sister, Edith Flynt of Grovetown, GA; and several grandchildren. Local survivors include her sister-in-law, Shirley Harmon and husband Cecil, of Blowing Rock; and her brother-in-law, Dennis Henson and wife, Barbara, of Mountain City, TN.
A memorial service for Ellen Henson will be conducted Saturday morning, November 16, 2013, at 11 o'clock, at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home chapel, officiated by Rev. Gordon Noble.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial donations to any church or charity.
