Mr. Brooks Hill Duncan, age 61, of NC Hwy 88, Zionville, the Creston Community died Friday night, May 14, 2010 in San Angelo, Texas. Born May 13, 1949 in Ashe County, he was the son of the late Meredith Duncan and Ruth Donnelly Duncan. Brooks was a graduate of Appalachian State University and was a truck driver and farmer.
He is survived by his mother; Ruth Donnelly Duncan, one sister; Martha Nelson and husband Rocky of Boone, one niece; Bess Kellerman, and two nephews; Adam Winebarger and Rob Nelson.
Funeral services for Mr. Brooks Hill Duncan will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o\'clock at the Sutherland United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Ricky Mitchell and Rev. A. B. Weaver. Burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery. The family respectfully requests no flowers and suggests memorials to the Sutherland United Methodist Church, in care of Faye Sutherland, 1454 Sutherland Road, Creston, NC 28615. Family and friends may call at the Duncan home, 21861 NC Hwy 88, Zionville, at any time.
