Mr. Frank Berlin Calloway, age 94, of Granite Falls, and a former resident of the Foscoe Community died Sunday morning, March 28, 2010 at Camelot Manor Nursing Care Facility. Born July 27, 1915 in Watauga County, he was a son of the late John and Lottie Eggers Calloway. Mr. Calloway was a caretaker for Camp Rainbow for Girls and was a member of Foscoe Christian Church.
Surviving are one daughter; Susie Varner of Granite Falls, one son, Dean Calloway and wife Peggy of Hudson, three granddaughters; Kim Bolick and husband David of Hudson, Lisa Kemp and husband Timmy of Hudson, Renee Greene and husband Robert of Boone, three grandsons; Barry Calloway and wife Sandy of Hudson, Dale Taylor and wife Becky of Daytona Beach, Florida and Len Taylor of Granite Falls; 11 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren, and two special nieces, Marbeth Church and Patsy Fox both of Foscoe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Jenny Davis Calloway, and three sisters; Georgia Calloway, Doris Norwood and Grace Byrd.
Funeral services for Mr. Frank Berlin Calloway will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Minister Ken Caswell. Burial will follow in the Calloway Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 until 2 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
