Mr. Edward Council Harmon, age 66, of Peoria Road, Sugar Grove, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 22, 2013 at Watauga Medical Center. Born October 19, 1946, he was a son of the late Danville and Bina Cornett Harmon. Edward was a retired carpenter and a member of Green Valley Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy Wiseman Harmon, two sons; Tony Harmon and wife Kim of Apex, and Terry Harmon and wife Ruthie of Banner Elk, two sisters; Helen Warren and husband Roy and Betty Presnell and husband Alvin all of Sugar Grove, two brothers; Billy Harmon and wife Shelby and Tommy Harmon and wife Linda of Sugar Grove, one granddaughter; Katelyn Harmon, four grandsons; Joshua Harmon and wife Stephanie, Hunter, Benjamin and Grayson Harmon, one great grandson, Jacob Harmon and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his one sister Ruth Rominger, one brother in law; Larry Rominger and two half brothers; Carson Cornett and Jimmy Watson. Graveside services for Mr. Edward Council Harmon will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Green Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Eric Cornett, Rev.
