Obituary of Ralph Norris

AUGUST 30, 2009 Mr. Ralph Bartlett Norris, age 84, of Sunnyside Drive, Boone, died Saturday night August 29, 2009 at Glenbridge Health Care & Rehabilitation. Born May 23, 1925 in Watauga County, he was a son of the late Marvin and Ella Mae Cox Norris. Mr. Norris was a member of Faith Baptist Church and an Army Veteran of WWII. He was retired from Vermont American. Surviving are; his wife Dorothy Hatten Norris; two sons; Charles Norris and wife Darlene and Jerry Norris and wife Laura all of Boone; two grandchildren, Tammy Hampton and Chad Norris and one great grandson; Braden Hampton; and two brothers; Ray C. Norris and wife Mandy, and Dee J. Norris both of Boone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife; Doris Ford Norris, one sister Ruth Hayes and one brother; Rhonda Norris. Funeral services for Mr. Ralph Bartlett Norris will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o�clock at Faith Baptist Church. Officiating will be Dr. Sonny Younce, Rev. Ed Ford and Rev. Eric Proffit. Burial will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park & Gardens. The family respectfully requests no food and in lieu of flowers, suggests memorials to Faith Baptist Church, in care of Jerry Tester, 142 Herbs Hollow Road, Boone, NC 28607. The family will receive friends Tuesday prior to the service from noon until 2 o�clock at Faith Baptist Church.
