Obituary of Georgianna P. Moretz

Georgianna Pickard Moretz, age 69, of the Boone Village Club, Furman Road, Boone, died Monday evening, August 17, 2009 at her home. She was born July 26, 1940 in Wisconsin to Sidney and Mary Ward Pickard. Georgianna was a graduate of Appalachian State University with a B.S. degree in Health Education. She was a retired Paralegal.
Ms. Moretz is survived by; two daughters, Courtney Moretz of Boone and Whitney Moretz of Miami, Florida; one sister, Phyllis Battle and two brothers, Eddie and Sidney Pickard, all of Miami, Florida.
She was preceded in death by Joseph Alfred Moretz, the father of her children, her parents, and one sister, Mary Rheinertson.
Services for Georgianna Pickard Moretz will be held Monday, August 24, 2009, at 2:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church officiated by Rev. Tim Smith.
