Obituary of Lola B. Presnell

Ms. Lola Baird Presnell, age 70, of Lenoir, died Saturday evening, June 20, 2009 at her home. She was born October 28, 1938 in Avery County to Dexter and Clema Hicks Baird. Ms. Presnell was a member of the Word and Truth Ministries. She retired from the Sporting Goods Department at Belk. Ms. Presnell is survived by; her son, Wayne Presnell and wife Pam of Martinsburg, W. Va.; one granddaughter, Brittaniona of Martinsburg; one sister, Barbara Seatz of Newland; close friends and neighbors, Shirley Craig and Barbara McCall, and by a host of family and friends who were supportive when Lola needed them. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Harleen Ruppard. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o�clock at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Pastor Bill Bentley and Preacher Kenneth Banner. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1 until 2 o�clock, one hour prior to services, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Baird family cemetery.
