Mary Pauline Summers Rogers, age 81, of Land Harbor, Newland, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Cannon Memorial Hospital in Linville.
Born August 2, 1932 in Iredell County, she was a daughter of Charles and Cora Bowles Summers. Mrs. Rogers was a member of Vanderburg United Methodist Church in Mooresville. She was employed by HUD, a government housing authority.
Surviving are her husband, John B. Rogers of the home; three sons, Charles Forest Rogers, of Mooresville; David Brent Rogers of Bakersville; and Bradley Scott Rogers of Newland; seven grandchildren: Melynda Burkett, Allison Rogers, David Daza, Chase Rogers, Candice Rogers, Brittany Kolstad and Razuel Sanders and ten great grandchildren.
Memorial Services for Mary Pauline Summers Rogers will be conducted Saturday afternoon, September 28, 2013 at 4 o'clock at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel in Mooresville. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 until 4 o'clock, proir to services, at the funeral home.
Austin & Barnes Funeral Home in Boone and Cavin-Cook Funeal Home in Mooresville are serving the Rogers family.
