Obituary of Finley H. Mast

Finley Houston �Hugh� Mast, Jr., age 57, of Poga Road, Butler, Tennessee, and a native and former resident of Watauga County, died Monday afternoon, April 13, 2009 at his home. He was born August 18, 1951 in Watauga County to Jimmie Farthing Mast and the late Finley Houston Mast, Sr. Hugh was a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church. He was a truck driver and welder for STM Trucking in Bakersville. Mr. Mast is survived by; his wife, Ruby Norris Mast, one daughter, Stephanie McGlamery, and husband, Jerry, of Zionville, two sons, Tommy Mast, and wife, Sherry, of Sugar Grove and James Mast, of the home, four grandchildren, Kelli and Kristi McGlamery, both of Zionville, and, Jackson and Timmy Mast, both of Sugar Grove, his mother, Jimmie Farthing Mast, of Sugar Grove, one brother, Jeff Mast, and wife, Jo-anne, of Millboro, Va., and one brother-in-law, Robert Norris, and wife, Beverly, of Toccoa, Ga. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Claude and Dorothy Norris. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday evening at 7 o�clock at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Quincy Norris. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 until 7 o�clock, prior to services, at the funeral home. Graveside services will be conducted Friday morning at 11 o�clock at the Finley Patterson Mast Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Finley Patterson Mast Cemetery Fund, in care of Mike Mast, 442 Frozenhead Ridge Road, Sugar Grove, NC 28679.
