Obituary of Miss Linda E. Bridges

Linda Elaine Bridges, age 52, of Meadow Hill Apartments, Boone, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at her home. She was born February 13, 1957 in Burlington to Alease Horne Bridges and the late Willie Andrew Bridges. Linda was a graduate of Appalachian State University, majoring in Psychology. Before early retirement, she was employed by Applecart as an executive secretary. She was a member of Boone Central Assembly of God. Miss Bridges is survived by her mother, Alease Horne Bridges of Burlington, One sister, Bobbie Sue Bridges Willard and husband, Mitchell of Boone, one brother, Willie Dwight Bridges and wife, Glenda, of Fayetteville, four nieces, Annie Meyers and husband, Chris, of Asheville, Meagan Elizabeth Bridges of Damascus, Syria, Casey Leigh and Emma Frances Willard, both of Boone, and, one great nephew, Judson Patrick Meyers of Asheville. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one sister, Hilda Alease Bridges, maternal grandparents, Lee George and Wencie Elizabeth Sanders Horne and paternal grandparents, Hubert Worth and Glena Mae Stell Bridges. Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon, March 30th at 3 o'clock at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Charles Bristle. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 2 until 3 o'clock, one hour prior to services, at the funeral home. Burial will be Wake Crossroad Baptist Church Cemetery in Wake Forest.
