Obituary of Anna L. Glenn

Anna Rosa Love Glenn, age 91, of Glenbridge Health & Rehabilitation in Boone, and formerly of Rush Branch Road, Sugar Grove, died Monday morning, March 2, 2009 at Watauga Medical Center. She was born January 29, 1918 in Watauga County to Will and Hettie Ward Love. Mrs. Glenn was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She retired from ASU Food Services and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Glenn is survived by; one daughter, Kathleen Glenn Ward of Boone, two sons, Steve Glenn and wife Orbie, of Boone and Hubert Glenn and wife Shirley of Mountain City, Tennessee, one granddaughter, Mechele Lee Viale and husband Joseph and two great-grandchildren, Scott Duncan and Jocelyn Viale, all of Africa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Grover Glenn, one son, Baxter Ralph Glenn, one daughter, Jimmie Gail Glenn, one sister, Retha Greene and her parents, Will and Hettie Ward Love.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Mike Townsend and Rev. Arville Hardy. The body will lie in state at the chapel from 1 until 2 o'clock. Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery in Sugar Grove.
