Mr. Billy Joe Ward, age 52, of Sugar Grove, passed away Monday night, December 17, 2018 at Watauga Medical Center. Born February 20, 1966 in Caldwell County, he was the son of Billy Adam Ward and the late Mary Lee Love Ward. Billy was a musician.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Rash Ward, one daughter, Mary Ward of Boone, one son, Billy Lee Ward and wife Krista of Sugar Grove, his father, Billy Adam Ward, and a nephew, Adam Gobble and wife Jo Beth of Sugar Grove, and a number of other beloved nieces and nephews, three grandchildren, Brayden Cole Ward, Levi Hunter Ward and Alyssa Love Ward, four sisters, Wanda Lee Gobble and husband Don of Sugar Grove, Ivy Jean Hollins and husband Richard, Elizabeth Newcomb, and Bertha Louise Spradling all of Lenoir, and special friends, Chip and Tina Presnell.
Funeral services for Mr. Billy Joe Ward will be conducted Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 1 PM at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. David Icenhour. Burial will follow in the Cove Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
