Rose Mary Esposito DeCrosta, age 95, of Boone, Passed away Sunday evening, October 7, 2018 at Watauga Medical Center. Born September 2, 1923 in New Haven, Connecticut, she was a daughter of John and Carmela Avalone Esposito.
Mrs. DeCrosta was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Boone.
Always the loving wife, mother and grandmother, Rose is survived by her daughter, Jo-Ann Delucia and husband, Dominic, of Boone; son, Pat DeCrosta and wife, Gayle, of East Haven, Ct.,; daughter-in-law, Rosalie DeCrosta of Middleton, CT; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip DeCrosta; son, John DeCrosta; and daughter-in-law, Noreen.
A funeral Mass for Rose DeCrosta will be celebrated Saturday morning, October 13, 2018 at 11 o’clock at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church in East Haven. The family will receive friends from 9 until 10:30, prior to services. Rite of Christian Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven.
