Gordon Douglas Brown, Jr, (Doug), 77, of Boone, son of Gordon and Helen Brown, Roxboro, died July 24, 2018 at home. Doug was a UNCCH graduate and spent his life in mortgage financing, development, and construction. He also enjoyed golf and won several tournaments. Doug is survived by his wife of 55 years, Billie Jo Bland; son, Brian (Amy) and grandson, Austin; daughter, Jennifer King (Clayton) and granddaughter, Mayce. There will be no funeral.
