Obituary of Robert W. Kees

Mr. Robert William Kees, age 77, of Linville Land Harbor, Newland, died Sunday afternoon, April 13, 2008 at Johnson City Medical Center. Born October 5, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mae Kees. Bob was an active member of Linville United Methodist Church and volunteered extensively in his community of Linville Land Harbor. Surviving are his wife, Hazel Kees, four daughters; Linda Osborne and husband Steve of Huntington, WV, Debra Worden and husband, Mark of Holt, MI, Deana Vivola and husband John of Morganton, PA; Sandra Eaton and husband Greg of Myrtle Beach, SC, one son, Robert Kees of Oak Ridge, NC, seven grandchildren Stephanie Osborne Lyon and husband Caleb, Christopher Osborne, Michel Vivola, Megan Vivola, Andrew Worden, Laura Worden, and Courtney Eaton, and one great grandson, Wyatt Lyon, and one brother, Thomas Kees and wife Nancy of Pinehurst, NC. Memorial services for Mr. Robert William Kees will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Linville United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Carroll Miller. A reception will follow the service at the church.
