Scott Bradley Norris, 52, of Julian went home to be with his Lord, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, June 18, 2018.
Scott was a 1986 graduate of the Charles D. McIver School in Greensboro. He enjoyed competing in Special Olympics and bowling and loved to sing.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Barry Lemons and Rev. Dan Carter officiating; burial will follow in Dr. Clyde M. Gilmore Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church one hour prior to the service.
Surviving are his loving parents, Bobby Joe and Anne Houck Norris; one sister, Pamela Joy Moretz and her husband, David; niece, Anne Hamby and her husband, Dwayne; and two uncles, Mike Norris and his wife, Marie, and their children, Kendall Houck and husband Jon, Kinsay Sand and husband Matt, and their daughter, Olive, Hubert Matheson and his daughter, Mitzi, one aunt, Martha Norris, and children; Debbie and Pete Wilson and their children, Aaron Wilson and wife Emily, and children, Anna and Ruby, Amanda Lyda and husband Nathan and children Ava and Isaiah, Andrew Wilson, Anita Chappell and her children, Benjamin and Ivy.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sarah Houck and paternal grandmother, Myrtle Norris, one uncle, G. C. Norris, one aunt, Georgia Gail Norris Matheson and a cousin, Ben Chappell.
