Eva Mae Tipton Hunter, age 72 of Millers Creek, and formerly of Watauga County, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Donald Tipton, and brother Larry Dale Tipton.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Morrison Hunter, one daughter, Robin Tedder and husband Chris of Wilkesboro, one son, Christopher Hunter of West Jefferson, her mother, Ruby Craig Tipton of Blowing Rock, two sisters, Frankie and Nora Tipton both of Blowing Rock, one brother, Ray Tipton of Swansea, S.C., her uncle Langston Craig, one grandson, Matthew Tedder, two nieces, Kristy Clawson and husband Mark, and Amy Whitfield, two great nieces, Rahne and Briana Avant, one great nephew, J.W. Tester and one great great nephew Gabe Tester.
Funeral services for Eva Mae Tipton Hunter will be conducted Monday, April 30, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Austin and Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Burl Greer and Scott Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in the Craig Family Cemetery, Blowing Rock. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services from 1-2 p.m. Monday. At other times friends and family may visit at the home of Ruby Tipton.
