Obituary of Linda Reece Osborne

Linda Sue Reece Osborne, age 71, of US Hwy. 421 North, Zionville, passed away Wednesday morning, March 7, 2018. Born December 19, 1946 in Watauga County, she was a daughter of Glenn and Hazel Brown Reece. Mrs. Osborne was a member of Mabel Baptist Church and by occupation, was a home healthcare provider. Linda loved her family and especially her grandsons. She enjoyed crocheting and always looked forward to her trips to Pigeon Forge. Ms. Osborne is survived by her sons, David Glenn Osborne of Mountain City, and Danny Lee Osborne of Zionville; two grandsons, Daniel and Luke Osborne; and two sisters, Barbara Martin of Mountain City, and Ruth Childers of Morganton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathleen Brown and Teresa Stanley; and two brothers, Eugene and Benny Reece. Funeral services for Linda Reece Osborne will be conducted Saturday afternoon, March 10th, at 2 oclock at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Frank Johnson and Rev. Bill Morefield. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 until 2 oclock, prior to services, at Austin & Barnes. Graveside services will follow in the Reece Cemetery.
