Obituary of Jerry D. Denney

Mr. Jerry Dean Denney, age 53, of Clemmons, died Monday morning, November 10, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Born in Watauga County March 11, 1955, he was a son of the late Harley Eugene Denney and Gladys Creed Denney. Jerry was a US Army Veteran. He was a computer consultant and a limo driver for Black Tie Limo Service. Surviving are two sons; Kevin Dean Denney of Winston-Salem, Malcolm Brock Denney of Clemmons, his mother; Gladys Creed Denney of Sugar Grove, one sister, Sandra Denney of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, one brother; Michael Denney of Sugar Grove, one foster sister, Tammy Minton of Lenoir, one foster brother; Robert Minton of Vilas, his maternal grandmother, Stella Creed of Sugar Grove, and a number of cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Harley Eugene Denney, his maternal grandfather; Sanford Creed, his paternal grandparents; Jesse and Rettie Denney Funeral services for Jerry Dean Denney will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Ray Greene and Rev. Derick Wilson. Burial will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park & Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon prior to the service from 12:30 until 2 o�clock. At other times friends may call at the residence of Gladys Denney, US 321 North, Sugar Grove, NC In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Denney family in care of Austin & Barnes Funeral Home, 194 Queen Street, Boone, NC 28607.
