Dorothy Beier Dunteman, age 85, of Friendship Church Road, the Aho community, Boone, died Tuesday afternoon, February 5, 2013, at the Davant Rehab & Extended Care Facility in Blowing Rock. Born March 13, 1927 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of Erwin and Amelia Murdock Beier. Mrs. Dunteman was a member of Laurel Fork Baptist Church where she attended Adult Sunday school classes and the Exploring Christianity programs.
Mrs. Dunteman is survived by her goddaughter, Jill Burns and husband Chuck of West Harrison, Indiana; godson, Michael Dieckmann and wife Karen, of Cincinnati, Ohio; nephew, Grey Collum and wife Betty, of Dublin, Ohio; and niece, Gina Swisher and husband Brian, of Columbus, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Dunteman.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, February 9, 2013, at 2 o'clock at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Boyd Coffey and Rev. Lonnie Barnes. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 o'clock, prior to services, at Austin & Barnes. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Blowing Rock.
